This is a unique market development that incorporates an internal core, providing greater body, consistency, and visual presence compared to conventional paper cords.
Specifically designed for manufacturers looking to elevate the quality of their paper bags without compromising sustainability or incurring unnecessary additional costs.

Technical specifications

Manufactured from 100% FSC® paper, this knitted paper cord, used as a paper handle, is available in 5 mm and 6 mm diameters.

• In its 5 mm version, it offers a tensile strength of approximately up to 18 kg per handle, making it suitable for medium-load paper bags in manual assembly processes.
• The incorporation of an internal core provides greater body and firmness, improving both the cord's behaviour during assembly and the stability of the handle once fitted to the bag.
• The standard knit, combined with this structure, also provides a soft touch and a more consistent feel—aspects especially valued in mid-to-high-end and luxury packaging.
• Like the rest of our paper cords for packaging, it can be adapted to each project, allowing for customisation of diameter, colour, and type of finish or end fitting according to the bag design or manufacturing system.

Finishes and end fittings

• Film hook: End fitting made from cellulose acetate (plant-based material), which facilitates assembly by acting as a guide during cord insertion, maintaining consistency with eco-friendly packaging solutions.
• Metal hook: End fitting that allows for rapid cord insertion, reducing handling times.
• Pressed ends: Reduces the diameter of the cord end, facilitating its passage through the bag holes and speeding up the assembly process.
• Cold cut: Standard straight termination, used in manual processes where no end fitting is required.

Delivery formats

Available mainly in pieces cut to size (bundles), the most common format in manual assembly processes due to its ease of use and production speed. It can also be supplied in metres (spools/bobbins) according to the client's manufacturing system needs.
