LIASA, La Industrial Algodonera S.A., has been awarded the 2025 SME of the Year Award for the province of Tarragona, in an event organised by Banco Santander, the Tarragona Chamber of Commerce and La Vanguardia newspaper.
This award recognises the journey and strength of a family-owned company that, since its foundation in 1918, has remained active, innovative and adaptable throughout more than a century of history.
Over these 100+ years, LIASA has constantly evolved, diversifying its products, incorporating new technologies, expanding into new markets, and modernising its business model to respond to the needs of each era. Since its beginnings as a manufacturer of cords, elastic cords and tapes, the company has successfully met market demands, developing solutions for the textile sector, decoration, packaging and other industrial applications.
A fundamental part of this long journey has been LIASA’s continuous ability to adapt, actively listen to its customers' needs and remain firmly committed to innovation, while always preserving the values that have defined the company since its origin.
This recognition is also the result of the dedication of all the people who form part of LIASA: the production, administration, purchasing, marketing and sales teams who contribute daily to the company’s growth and development.
With this award, LIASA now advances to the national phase of the 2025 SME of the Year Award, where it will compete alongside the winners from other provinces.
