The UV polyethylene bungee cord is a technical elastic cord developed for fixing hail nets, crop netting and protective films in fruit fields and crop protection systems. Its polyethylene monofilament cover provides extreme UV resistance of 900 Kly, with high resistance to sun exposure, humidity, rain, chemicals and adverse weather conditions.
Thanks to its natural latex core, it works as a crop tensioner, maintaining flexible and consistent fixing in outdoor installations. It is suitable for hail protection systems, field covers and applications that require a strong, durable elastic tie for continuous outdoor use.

• Technical composition: Based on the GPE 7.5 standard, with a 65% natural latex core and a UV polyethylene monofilament cover. This combination provides flexible tension and outdoor resistance.
• UV resistance: 900 Kly stabilisation to withstand prolonged sun exposure and delay material degradation in the field.
• Chemical resistance: High resistance to acids, oxidants, reducing agents and corrosion. A key advantage in crop environments where chemical treatments and maintenance work are carried out during the season.
• Diameter range: Available in 4.5, 6.3, 7.2, 8, 9, 9.4, 9.5 and 10.2 mm, allowing the elastic fastening system to be adapted to each installation.
• Outdoor performance: Suitable as a net fixing bungee cord and cord for net support, with resistance to sun exposure, humidity, rain and adverse weather conditions.

Design

As manufacturers, we adapt to the aesthetic and technical requirements of each project. Although black is the standard colour due to its excellent performance against solar radiation, we offer made-to-measure colour customisation using Pantone codes. This flexibility allows the fixing system to blend into the environment or differentiate product lines according to each customer’s needs.

Finishes and endings

We manufacture the GPE bungee cord in made-to-measure pieces with different endings to make field installation easier and adapt the fixing system to each type of net, plastic film or structure.

• Plastic hook: A bungee toggle and injected terminal inserted into the hole of the plastic film, hail net or crop netting to fix the elastic without knots.
• Injected Plastic Ball: Works as a safety stop to prevent the elastic from slipping out of the anchoring point. A practical option for ball bungee cord applications where simple and secure retention is needed.
• Carabiner and Plastic Hook: Piece with a carabiner at one end and a Plastic Hook at the other. The carabiner provides quick fastening to the wire or structure, while the Plastic Hook is inserted into the hole of the plastic film, hail net or crop netting to secure the fixing.
• Carabiner and big hook: Combination used when the bungee cord needs to be attached to stronger fixing points. It provides a more robust fixing in installations with higher tension or frequent handling.

Delivery formats

• Cut-to-size pieces: Elastics prepared to the required length to make installation easier and avoid manual cutting on site.
